POWERADE PLAY

*** CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED***

StephanieC please contact me so we can get you your prize!!

Thanks to all of you who participated, stay tuned for what we have in store.

I was given POWERADE PLAY to try in my own home, and was paid for my time to write the review. I was not paid to write a positive review and all thoughts written below were my own.

In the spring we have baseball games three times a week, and in the fall there will be football games. I become chauffeur, cheer captain, assistant coach, personal trainer, and which ever other hat I must wear to keep our kids together. I find my days filled with driving the kids to games, yelling from the bleachers, coaching from the sidelines, batting practice in the back yard, and organizer extraordinaire to keep it all together. The calendar on my phone becomes my life line telling me when the next game or practice is.

One of the things I love about the boys is that they are so active, I am so glad they have inherited my love for sports and the outdoors. As busy as we are; we often times spend more time at the ball park than at home these days. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I think I am giving them a good starting point to lead healthy fit lives as they grow.

I am sure it comes to no surprise of my regular readers that we are one busy family. As a mother of three kids I try to keep our schedules full of fun activities and healthy snacks. I jumped at the chance when I was asked to review POWERADE’s new drink POWERADE PLAY.

POWERADE has a new sports drink for young athletes called PLAY. With just 60 calories per 12 fluid ounce bottle, it has 25% less sugar than traditional sports drinks. It is enhanced with 100% of the Daily Value (DV) of Vitamin C and 20% DV Zinc to help support a healthy immune system and also has 20% of the DV of Vitamins B3, B5, B6 and B12.

Really? Low sugar, extra vitamins, and electrolytes? Could it be good enough to be real? The kicker is, will the boys drink it?

You see I have kids that add sugar to everything from cereal to lemonade. So I will say I was a bit skeptical, low sugar and my two boys just usually don’t mix. Oh, was I surprised!! Jay’s exact words were “I love it!! I think I will marry it.” I am most certain that in ten years he will have changed his mind, never the less; he and his brother enjoy it. I would also have to say that I too enjoyed the drink. Friday is our snack day for baseball and I think we have found a new drink to provide the kids.

To enter the giveaway for a $125 Visa gift card, comment on this entry and tell me how you motivate your kids to get up and move or do they motivate you to get moving. What sports are our kids involved in, how to you manage to keep all the game and practice times straight? Tell me the norm for your family.
